STATE BANK AND NATIONAL BANK OPEN TO COLLECT TAX

OPENING OF BRANCHES/OFFICES FOR FACILITATION OF TAX COLLECTION

                                                                                                                                                 

State Bank announce the the field offices and authorized branches of National Bank of Pakistan will remain open for extended hours on 28^th and 29^th June, 2013 and till 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on 30^th June, 2013 (Sunday) for collection of taxes. Further NIFT will provide 02 (two) special clearing facilities on 30^th June, 2013 i.e. 1^st and 2^nd clearing immediately after 1:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. midnight respectively in order to ensure that all tax receipts collected on 28^th, 29^th and 30^th June are credited to the Government accounts in the month of June, 2013.

2.         In order to facilitate collection of taxes, banks are advised to open such branches and other offices on June 30, 2013 (Sunday) till such time that is necessary to facilitate special clearing by NIFT to be held after 1:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.

3.         Further with reference to the above special clearing arrangements, it is informed that State Bank of Pakistan will only accept credit receipts related to Federal and Provincial Tax.
