Sindh 4th Youth Festival to be held on January 18-19

KARACHI: In order to promote talent among the youth and enhance their sporting capabilities, the Sindh Government has scheduled its 4th Youth Festival on January 18 and 19 at National Museum Karachi. Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mir Mumtaz Hussain Jakharani will be chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the festival.

There will be 13 different contests of various games will be held in this regard keeping in view artistic creativity and curriculum activities among the youth in the age bracket of 15 years to 29 years old.
On January 18, different contests will be held including debate competition, theater competition, special youth singing contest, battle of bank and concert. On January 19, the contest of short film production, quiz, talent show and musical event will be held.

Sindh government has kept it priority to enhance skills and talent of the youth of province through festivals that could inculcate a sportsman spirit in them. The activities will provide a platform to youngsters to promote their talents and instincts in these areas. whereas the ministry vows to encourage and motivate them to come in front and bring good name for country and province in national and international festivals; said Secretary Laeeq Ahmed, Ministry for Sports and Youth Affairs.

Youngsters from all cities, different ethnicities and religion will be encouraged to participate in the festival without any discrimination because the present government believes in democracy, equality and merit, secretary said.
