Global HR Excellence Awards-2013 ceremony held


4th Global HR Excellence Awards-2013 ceremony held
KARACHI, September 06, 2013:- Top Chairmen, CEO's & human resources managers of 23 distinguished companies of corporate sector were conferred the 4th Global HR Excellence Awards-2013 at a marvelous ceremony held and attended by glitterati of Pakistani business and social sectors. Provincial Ministers Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani & DrSikandar Ali Mandhro and Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui were respectivily chief guests of three different sessions.

The Global Media Links (GML) and Better Pakistan Forum (BPF) joined hands to organize the award ceremony in order to highlight and properly reward institutionalized and individuals’ best work in the field of Human Resource management on a countrywide basis. The most noteworthy part of the event was conferring Special Global Excellence Awards to famous reformer of education & world renowned Pop singer Shehzad Roy in the fields of humanitarian services and social work especially in education sector. The awards were handed out among the Chairmen, CEO's & HR Heads of successful companies by above mentioned three chief guests.  
According to the statistics of the award ceremony, initially over 55 companies had shown keen interest to prospectively participate in the competition being held to award and recognize excellence in HR management services; later 35 companies submitted their nominations on formal basis to participate in the event. Jury of the award competition finally adjudged profiles of 23 companies as award winners among whom are included some multinational concerns, Pakistani large businesses, small and medium enterprises, and other persons who individually participated in the competition for their association with the field of HR management.
Among the award winners; few prominent organizations are Coca Cola Export Corporation, Prime HR, Future Parts Company, PepsiCo Worldwide Flavours, ABL, Kay & Emms, HDF, Roots School System, Lotte Chemical , PakOasis,  Roots Millennium Schools , PTCL, PepsiCo, RafhanMaize , PDIL and others. 

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Links and President of Better Pakistan Forum Mr. Musaddiq Aziz said that 4th Global HR Excellence Awards were being given to top qualified organizations as in all the cases these organizations struggled hard to manage progressive financial & growth impact of their business in the economy of Pakistan through strategic implementation of their best HR Practices.  He said the GML and BPF would continue to hand out such special excellence and consolation awards in future also in order to properly and institutionally eulogize commendable use of talents and efforts for bringing about good reputation and image of Pakistan among nations of the World.  Kalim A. Siddiqui, the Chairman, Better Pakistan Forum delivered the welcome speech of the ceremony and shed light on different important aspects of best HR practices. He also highlighted salient features of profiles of the award winning companies. 
Addressing on the occasion, Sindh Minister for Works and Services Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani Sindh Environment and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Sikandar Mandhro underlined the need of promoting and establishing liaison between academia and industry on firm lines for providing enabling job opportunities to passing out graduate students of universities and other seats of higher learning in Sindh. Both provincial ministers congratulated Global Media Links and Better Pakistan Forum, which on self-help basis and with support of private sector, had been able to organize various events on innovative topics of corporate importance.They said that like the past events of Global Media Links, this award ceremony had gained prominence due to overwhelming presence of corporate sector’s representatives and individual HR practitioners working with distinction.
