Oracle SPARC T5 and M5 servers arrived in Pakistan


Karachi: Oracle today announced availability of new Oracle SPARC T5 and M5 servers in Pakistan. The new T5 and M5 microprocessors are world’s fastest processor today with up to 3x faster application performance than IBM Power7 processor.  

In Pakistan, Oracle will be targeting telecommunications, government, healthcare and financial services industry verticals for these new servers. The new systems offer an unbeatable value for midrange and high-end enterprise computing۔
This launch is a major milestone for Oracle hardware business and will leave a lasting impact on the servers and enterprise computing market in Pakistan.

The SPARC T5-8 is the fastest single server for Oracle database. The SPARC T5-8 has a 2.5x price performance advantage over the IBM P780 3 node cluster when including all hardware and software costs. It beats IBM p-series servers on price and performance on a variety of Oracle applications, including running JD Edwards with a 23 x price performance advantages, and running Oracle Siebel CRM with a 7x price performance advantage. The SPARC T5 server also has breakthrough price performance for ERP with a 5x price performance advantage over IBM helping to generate greater user productivity and improve business efficiencies.
