Former Nokia Exec Joins Huawei
Nokia's former executive vice president of sales, Colin Giles has joined
Huawei, as its Executive Vice President, Huawei Consumer Business Group.
A respected figure in the mobile handset world, Giles will be
in charge of global marketing, retail and open channel development.
"I am delighted to join Huawei at such an exciting time in
the development of Huawei's consumer brand," Giles said in a statement
issued by the company.
Colin Giles left Nokia last April after working for the
company for around two decades, focusing largely on building Nokia's presence in
Asia and China. When he left the company, he cited a desire to spend more time
with his family.
His LinkedIn profile has been updated to reflect the new role
at Huawei.
