Morocco Planning 4G License Auction
Morocco's telecoms regulator is reported to be planning a 4G license tender before the end of this year.
LTE based services would then be expected to be launched next year.
The move follows approval from the government as part of a 10-year plan to
increase internet usage and deploy a nationwide broadband capacity.
Over four million Moroccans subscribed to Internet services as of the end of
March 2013, a total that has grown by a quarter on the previous year's ANRT
figures. The regulator says almost 16.5 million people, or 51% of the Kingdom's
population, are now Internet users.
